Preparing your worksheet…

Print the downloaded PDF at actual size (100%).

A little start. Room to try.

Your child can trace the name along each row, then use the first-letter starter to finish the name on the last row.

Choose Trace and write for more first-letter starters. Use a few rows now and save the rest for another time.

Good to know before you print

What can I type?

A first name, full name or short word, up to 40 characters. Accented Latin letters, spaces, apostrophes and hyphens work too. Longer text shrinks to fit; the tool tells you if it would become too small.

How should I print it?

Download the PDF and print at actual size (100%) on matching paper. US Letter (8.5 × 11 inches) is the default. Choose A4 under Customize worksheet if that matches your printer paper. Print as many copies as you need for home or class.

Is my child’s name saved?

No. The name stays in your browser and the PDF you download. It is not uploaded or saved by this tool, and you do not need an account.

What can I customize?

Choose letter size, dotted or solid tracing, shade and writing guides under Customize worksheet. Capitalization follows what you type: Emma or EMMA, for example. For one letter at a time, try letter tracing.
